Commercial Accountant

A Commercial Accountant is required to join a leading Manufacturing business based close to Warrington. Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager, your role will cover the following;

• Promote, support and communicate key financial disciplines and practices with non-financial managers
  
   
• Drive greater understanding of business performance through the relevant key business drivers (operational and commercial as well as financial) through detailed analysis and challenge
  
   
• Review performance and develop relevant KPI’s agreed with Operational Management
  
   
• Provide key business/commercial content to Financial performance
  
   
• Review of detailed profitability analysis and business efficiencies, make recommendations on how these can be improved to support improvement of bottom line growth
  
   
• Co-ordinate and manage the preparation of annual budget and rolling forecasts
  
   
• Provide financial guide to senior management and be the ‘go to person’ for financial queries for non-finance staff
  
   
• Ability to communicate effectively with non-financial managers
  
   
• Drive continuous improvement culture and development of processes
  
   
• Improve business modelling and financial planning for growth
  
   
• Respond to ad hoc requests in a timely manner
  
   
• Support the implementation of a new system

To be considered, you should be part qualified and actively studying CIMA/ACCA/ACA and have gained experience in a manufacturing/non-service based industry. You should have strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to get into the detail and understand the ‘nuts and bolts’ of the business. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and build relationships with Operational teams are essential for success in this role. Intermediate/Advanced excel skills are required and you should be comfortable in developing financial models.
