Our client is currently seeking a Group Financial Accountant, which is as a leading role within the Group’s central Finance team. This role will report directly into the Group Financial Controller.
Based at their offices in Surrey, the Group Financial Accountant will take a leading role within the Finance function and will be responsible for:
- Preparation of Group monthly consolidated accounts, including holding companies
- Preparation of Group annual statutory accounts
- Research into, preparation and maintenance of Group accounting policies
- Preparation of Group regulatory reporting
- Preparation of annual and quarterly reports for debt investors
- Technical accounting support for subsidiary teams
- Completing all Group tax returns, working autonomously or closely with the firm’s tax advisors to research changes in tax legislation, explain the requirements to the Group FD / FC and apply the necessary changes
- Maintenance and improvement in existing reporting systems and processes
Experience required:
- A professional Finance qualification (ACA or equivalent).
- Proven experience of financial statement production and completing / understanding complex tax reporting.
- Experience in the use of and development of financial modelling systems and reporting packages.
- Proven technical knowledge of FRS.
- Demonstrable eagerness and ability to drive or help drive change.
- Strong leadership skills.
