Finance Manager job for rapidly growing, PE backed company in Chester paying up to £45,000.

Hays are delighted to be working exclusively with a PE backed, high growth SME who are recruiting a Finance Manager. This company has grown to £15m in the last four years and now set for considerable growth with recent contract wins in the UK and abroad. As the company continues to grow it is putting increased pressure on to the finance department which has led to a role being created.

As Finance Manager you will reporting directly into the Financial Director and take responsibility for a team of four. You will join a busy and dynamic finance and legal team who oversee all aspects of day to day business operations including financial and management accounting, taxation including R&D claims and transfer pricing, investment, statutory filings and registers, commercial finance and business modelling including preparation of detailed budgets and forecasts, cash management and foreign exchange, taxation, licensing and regulation, corporate structure, asset management, trademarks and IP, board meeting support, facilities management, contract reviews, payroll and HR support, customer billing, audit, liaising with corporate advisers.

Key responsibilities will include -
- Ownership of Sage in a multi-company environment, ensuring correct treatment of foreign exchange, accruals, pre-payments, capitalisation and investment transactions.
- Prepare annual group consolidated accounts including audit.
- Ensure that the multi-territory, multi-currency, multi-work stream business model is fully updated and reconciled each month (to Sage and the bank accounts) and produce a draft Board report with commentary around key variances.
- Ensure accurate, timely invoicing against customer/supplier contracts.
- Prepare weekly payment list and set up transactions in bank accounts.
- Prepare payroll reports and any associated compliance (P11D, pensions, options reporting)
- Support the FD with update of forecasts across all business areas.
- Ensure regular review of IT projects to ensure compliance with R&D and Capitalisation criteria and support preparation of annual R&D tax credit.
- Preparation of VAT and other taxation returns (multi-territory)
- Support with investment administration and maintaining the Due Diligence data room for investors.
- Support with transfer pricing and overhead recovery activities.

Ideally you will have a Practice background and post qualification experience in a technically demanding role. You will need to evidence previous experience of keeping up to date with changes to accountancy standards and an enquiring mindset to cope with various international accounting standards. This is a small and close knit team so it is essential that you posses a can-do attitude and can work well as part of a small and friendly business.
