Commercial Finance Analyst

Based in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, our client is an established and forward thinking company who have experienced exciting growth and are looking for a Commercial Finance Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis and effectively business partner with non-financial managers.

This job would suit someone who is currently studying for, or interested to start studying, accountancy qualifications (CIMA/ACCA), with a minimum of two years' experience in a commercial accounting/ analysis role. This job will involve providing commercial analysis & management information support to the related department and providing a high quality of financial analysis and controls to underpin the relationship management with several clients.

The successful individual will have great communication skills with the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines. It is essential that the candidate is numerate with a high level of accuracy as well as being IT literate with intermediate Excel skills. The candidate should be comfortable in working in and operational focused environment.

Duties will include:

  • Review of detailed profitability analysis and business efficiencies
  • Suggest recommendations on how these can be improved to support improvement of bottom line growth
  • Be the 'go to' person between the department and Group Finance team to assist with billing, revenue, budget and reporting queries
  • Co-ordinate and manage the preparation of the annual budget and rolling forecasts
  • Promote, implement, support and communicate key financial data disciplines, controls and practices within the team and with non-finance managers
  • Drive greater understanding of business performance through relevant KPIs and analysis
  • Review performance and develop relevant KPI's
  • Provide key business/commercial content to improve financial performance
  • Provide a financial guide to senior management and address financial queries for operational staff
  • Effective communication with non-financial managers
  • Drive continuous improvement culture and development of processes
  • Improve business modelling and financial planning for growth
