Financial Manager
£45,000 - £50,000 + Package

EB/28018/AM

The last 18 months has been an exciting time for my client and the future is looking exceptionally bright.  Having relocated business operations to Telford and received heavy investment from their new investors they are creating a bespoke facility utilising competitive technologies within a sector valued in the billions and growing.

Having operated successfully under private ownership for many years whilst forging a longstanding and harmonious relationship with their customers, their recent corporate investors are looking to propel them to the next stage of growth.  Since the transaction significant investment has been made in new Plant & Equipment which will allow the business to increase volumes and diversify its offering.  Working closely with Group and acting to fully integrate the business into group approaches / methodology you will affect all areas of the business, operations, the financials and the culture.  Responsibilities will include:

  • Monthly management accounts production
  • Weekly P&L forecasts and rolling monthly forecasts
  • Analysing forecast variances and weekly actual to weekly budget variances
  • Working with the Commercial team to improve P&L performance
  • Full monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations including control accounts
  • Weekly debtor and creditor review and production of daily cash flow
  • Production of annual budgets and three year forecasts
  • Production of a quarterly board reporting pack
  • Production of quarterly VAT returns
  • Key contact for group for all tax related issues –P11d, PSA, PAYE etc
  • Production of annual statutory accounts under IFRS

This role would suit someone who is fully qualified with a broad finance exposure.  You will have a commercial outlook but understand the importance of giving due consideration to financial accounting issues, processes and controls.  You will have a challenging and inquisitive personality, someone who is happy to take the lead with new projects looking at new ways of working both in and outside of finance.  You will be happy to roll up your sleeves and work down in the detail.  You will be a driven individual who genuinely cares about what they do and how it is done, valuing a fun working environment and hard work.  You will be hungry for success, someone who is able to see the opportunity in a growing subsidiary of a larger corporate business.  A career defining opportunity awaits and with succession planning firmly in mind, as the business grows further it is foreseen that this role will develop for a talented individual.
