Seymour John are recruiting a Consumer Risk Manager for a leading financial services group, based in Cardiff.
The Role
- Lead multiple strategic risk projects with a strong focus on excellence of delivery.
- Act as key support to the Head of Risk, leading the team and representing the function in senior forums.
- Lead the ongoing development and improvement of the new credit system, helping to drive business value from the new system capabilities.
- Produce high quality analytics using SAS/WPS that are aligned to business priorities, providing internal stakeholders with the capability to resolve problems statistically.
- Work closely with global teams to support key Risk initiatives.
- Lead development and monitoring of credit policy, scoring, auto decision logic, credit and collections strategies, and provision models.
- Act as team leader, supporting the team and representing Risk in senior forums.
- Drive continuous improvement of team’s analytical capabilities, supporting other team members in developing and improving existing programs and models and developing new solutions.
Skills & Experience
- Degree in quantitative or finance related subject (Finance, Maths, Statistics, Economics, Engineering or related)
- Proven experience in credit risk management in the financial sector.
- Advanced SAS/WPS and MS Excel.
