Management Accountant

Gleeson Recruitment Group is currently looking for a Management Accountant for a services business based in Chesterfield.

The main purpose of the role is to complete management reporting and analysis to support finance and other key stakeholders on managing business performance.

The Management Accountant will be responsible for:

1. Production of high quality, timely and accurate financial and management reporting.
2. Controlled and efficient ledger management, cost and profit allocations, report generation and period ends.
3. Financial analysis and commercial insight to drive efficient interpretation of results and business performance.
4. Shaping the reporting process with customers, prioritising deliverables and driving continuous improvement in the financial and management reporting process.
5. Providing relevant support for the annual budget round and regular forecasting.
6. Assisting with improvements to present controls
7. Ensuring high quality reporting to support decision making - for business as usual and for changes.
8. Ensuring smooth audits and sound application of financial accounting principles.
9. Ensuring clear process documentation and a robust control environment.
10. Ad-hoc analysis and problem solving as required by the business.

The successful Management Accountant will possess:

• A professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA or ACA)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to summarise key points, interpret and present these effectively to Stakeholders.
• Computer literacy/numeracy with excellent Excel and good Word & PowerPoint skills
