My client is a global pharmaceutical company with European Headquarters in Reading. They are currently seeking an experienced, Senior Analyst to join their Finance team on a permanent basis.

In what is primarily a business partnering focussed job, the successful candidate will have responsibility for supporting various key UK & Ireland based projects from conception budgeting, analytical forecasting, Financial reporting and costing perspective. You must be able to make identify risks and opportunities and work with the business to ensure opportunities are realised and risks avoided or minimised.

 

 

As part of a busy Finance function you will have a direct line reporting into a Finance Director and you must display a Team-centric attitude. As such, it is essential that you are skilled in building relationships and collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders locally and globally.

 

 

Accuracy and attention to detail is key with this job. You will need to demonstrate your passion to think analytically and produce, reconcile, review & present financial information with a commercial focus. Essentially you must also be willing to drive change, showing the confidence to challenge internal functions and help them to increase Financial margins while remaining compliant.

 

 

Responsibilities :

 

 

Monthly Support to internal stakeholders in review of their Project Financials and other required reporting.

 

Financial Business Partnering

 

Month-end close processes and procedures, including preparing relevant journals.

 

Maintain monthly reporting and analysis of project overheads

 

Prepare the forecast and budget of overheads as required.

 

Assist & control project set-up meetings and associated process for multiple business units

 

Periodic tracking of contract status updates and completion of relevant costing models

 

Develop Financial reporting and prepare complex client reports with commentary

 

Ensure SOX controls are adhered to and reviewed periodically

 

 

Person Specification :

 

 

Qualified ACCA or CIMA or finalist

 

+2 years in a comparable Analyst roleProven technical accounting ability

 

Strong interpersonal skills

 

Able to explain and summarise complex financial data to internal stakeholders

 

Strong presentation skills - both verbal and written

 

Commercial Awareness

 

Willing and determined to train and gain new knowledge

 

Confidence to constructively challenge internal stakeholders

 

Educated to Degree level

 

Advanced Excel Skills
