Partner Financial is working with a fast growing Infrastructure Project Management company based in Central London. The business has recently started a new 5 year cycle and are looking to achieve ambitious strategic and financial targets within that time.

Due to their growth and a change in Leadership, the business has restructured the finance team to make it more fit for purpose, and are looking to add someone in the capacity of Finance Manager, leading on the accounting for various projects, whilst they align the structure formally to then recruit permanently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring financial progress of projects and reporting key financial performance metrics to management and forecasting shareholders returns;
  • Preparing board reports and presenting the results to the senior leadership team;
  • Identifying opportunities where profit and shareholder returns can be maximised and mitigating risks;
  • Leading the monthly and quarterly management reporting for projects and reviewing all month-end processes and management accounts;
  • Maintaining tight controls, reporting and budgets for projects and ensuring the necessary compliance in completed;
  • Working in collaboration with the Project Mangers, to support them from a finance perspective, but also learn the terms of nuances of the contract;
  • Preparing the statutory accounts, relevant supporting documentation and managing the year-end audit.
  • Ad-hoc analytical work as directed by the Finance Director.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • An accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA);
  • Excellent technical skills with a detailed knowledge of accounts preparation, both statutory and from incomplete records;
  • Proven experience in accounting for a number of projects simultaneously;
  • The ability to manage workload, prioritise efficiently;
  • Strong IT skills, including Excel, and the ability to learn new IT systems and processes;
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral;
  • A driven and resilient attitude.
