A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Financial Accountant to join an exciting and growing London based European headquarters of a global retailer.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership of finance team
- Review of consolidated monthly and quarterly European Group reporting
- Trading and financial analysis for presentation to the Europe Board
- Review of consolidated annual and long term European Group forecasts
- Analysis of forecasts and decision support to Europe board
- Group company structure management including review and analysis of tax structuring with the support of external advisors
- Accountability for the annual statutory reporting & audit of the Corporate Office
- Support to European Group companies annual statutory reporting and audit
- Controls testing for the European Group including development of balance sheet review
- Technical accounting policy review and standardisation across the European Group
- Ad hoc Group project support
Skills required:
- Finance qualification (ACA or equivalent)
- Experience of tax and/or tax planning
- Comfortable with quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Attention to detail
- Enthusiastic and can-do player; team
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Retail experience preferred
