Management Accountant

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a high growth SME that develops, manufactures and engineers cutting edge technologies which are at the forefront of the field it operates in. Working within a small finance team, this role is pivotal to the smooth running of finance operations and acts as a key point of contact for project management and technical staff within the operational side of the business. As such, it is an ideal opportunity for somebody who is looking for more than just a number crunching role and wants to be involved in the provision of commercial support to the business. The role is commutable from Crick, Rugby or Northampton.

Key duties will include:

• Project accounting: ensure all project costs are correctly captured in the ERP, BOMs are other overheads are correctly allocated and budgets are updated accordingly. Maintaining WIP reports and liaising with Project Managers on cost and budget issues.
• Cashflow reporting and forecasts;
• Production of monthly management accounts for individual group companies; and
• Production of ad hoc reports and analysis for the Financial Controller and other senior managers.

To succeed in this varied and challenging role, you will need to be a proven management accountant ideally with previous experience of working within a fact paced, project based environment in the engineering or manufacturing sectors. Strong technical skills are a given but it is also essential you can demonstrate the ability to fit into a small company where there is little hirearchy and you will be expected to be comfortable dealing directly with directors, technical staff as well as customers and suppliers. As a result strong people skills and the ability to support multiple projects and workstreams within a production environment are the key qualities we are looking for.
