Finance Business Partner

Based in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, our client is a multi-site leading national business with an established team and a culture for progression and development. They are looking for a finalist CIMA/ACCA Accountant who can add value to the business and support them through their next phase of development and growth cycle.

The successful individual will be a finalist CIMA/ ACCA Accountant who is looking for a role that they can be responsible for developing reporting solutions, undertaking projects and working as a business partner to sites across the UK daily.

The candidate will be responsible for the collection and analysis of financial data to provide information to the business to forecast and analyse company expenditure in relation to sales and costs.

Great communication skills are essential as are strong influencing and coaching skills. It is essential that the candidate is organised and highly analytical; they will need to be commercially astute and results driven.

Duties will include:

  • Responsible for designing and developing sustainable reporting solutions, in a timely manner demanded by the business. Developing analytical skills and providing insightful knowledge that leads to business improvements
  • Attend P&L meetings with the Regional & Area Managers to provide financial support and analysis, explore concerns and offer potential solutions
  • Responsible for coaching field teams and managers in the effective interpretation of their P&L reports
  • Follow up and investigate queries from Managers to ensure the accuracy of the financial accounts
  • Periodic reconciliations of balance sheets accounts. Ensure integrity is maintained through reconciliations to confirm financial controls. Follow up discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Provide financial support to managers and ensure compliance in accounting for cash adjustments
  • Preparation of financial information, including the periodic managements accounts
  • Support central budget holders in their understanding of actual periodic costs
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors at half yearly and annual audits
