Interim Systems & Finance Accountant
West Midland
Interim Systems & Finance Accountant required to join a Midlands based Life Insurance business. This position will form part of a larger finance systems programme and will be instrumental in delivery of key departmental objectives.
Duties will include;
* Monitor finance systems, performing source system data flow reconciliations, to ensure that data within finance systems is up-to-date and reliable
* Perform routine system management procedures, e.g. monthly ledger close and provide key MI around system performance
* Manage resolution of issues in a timely manner, working closely with IT, to ensure that finance system performance is maintained throughout key reporting periods
* Provide 1st line response to Finance users to resolve access and performance issues and address queries
* Maintain the integrity of the Oracle chart of accounts and FRM mapping tables, managing change in a controlled manner
* Provide finance systems support for acquisition activity, including management of source system feeds and ensuring that chart of accounts and mapping tables are fit for purpose
* Contribute to the strategic development of finance IT systems to help provide the department with the tools and applications required to deliver on its objectives
Skills & Experience required;
* Fully qualified Accountant - ACA / ACCA / CIMA
* Ability to effectively manage relationship with key stakeholders in IT
* 5+ years experience within a Finance Systems position
* Must have previous Life Insurance experience
