A great chance to enjoy a wonderful career within international private equity.
If you are a qualified ACA, CA or ACCA, whether ICAEW or ICAS, with exceptional financial literacy, commercial and customer relationship skills this could be the chance of a lifetime. The business is a well-established and highly regarded mid-market investor both domestically and internationally with a track record of generating impressive returns for investors. Numerous further investments will follow from the existing fund before further fund raising is required, ensuring a consistent deal flow for many years. The leadership team are recognised amongst the very best in the industry and exercise complete commitment to the career development of their colleagues; few environments deliver as much.
You will assist the directors of the business identifying potential investment opportunities, managing various elements of the deal process through to completion, assess due diligence, provide market research and monitor post deal investments. In effect, you will be involved in the whole investment life cycle from initial approach to investment and finally exit.
To be considered you will need to meet a strict set of criteria; you must have qualified with a major firm of accountants and have up to date professional practice experience. Academically you will be a high achiever with a strong pass record in addition to having first class inter-personal skills, an interest in corporate finance and funding and a wider commercial knowledge; excellent P&L and balance sheet experience is a given whilst modelling knowledge is helpful. Some transactional experience such as corporate finance, due diligence or corporate recovery will be useful but is not a pre-requisite; an audit background will certainly suffice.
The environment is collegiate and dynamic, often time pressured but always exciting. You will learn the art of private equity from outstanding investors.
