Group Financial Controller

A market leading construction firm based in South London is looking to hire a Group Financial Controller to lead their Finance Function. The role reports into the Group Financial Director and is an exceptional opportunity for a Qualified Finance professional looking for a step up into a broader group role. Core responsibilities are:

• Management of the Finance Function & Team for all group companies
• Preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts and reports for Directors and Operational Management
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the Groups Accounting Records
• Production of statutory accounts for the group and its subsidiary companies
• Preparation of budgets, forecasts and business plans and reviewing performance against them
• Maintenance of balance sheet schedules and reconciliations
• Overseeing payroll including monthly and year-end returns
• Review the internal controls of the group and maintain an update controls/procedures manual
• Ensure returns and payments for Corporation Tax, VAT, PAYE, class 1a NI etc are submitted and paid on time
• Be the key person working with ICT in the group, taking the lead on all facilities, communication and software issues

Applicants will be fully Qualified ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent and have similar experience ideally within the Construction sector. Experience working with and influencing senior stakeholders is essential along with strong man management experience. Applicants will need to demonstrate strong Financial Control experience ideally within a Group of companies.
