Finance Manager - Bracknell - Permanent - £45-49k

Exceptional opportunity to join an innovative, passionate and quality focused global brand in the role of Finance Manager,  working in partnership with business leaders to achieve challenging business goals.

As finance business partner for the UK operations, this role will cover all financial aspects from day to day accounting through to commercial decision support and long term planning.

As an experienced, qualified accountant, you will be technically strong, with robust commercial experience and well-honed communication skills at all levels to provide the appropriate challenge and support to key business stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:

Business Partnering

Provide informed financial understanding and cost/profitability detail for UK operations.

Provide professional insight and support of the financial impacts of all commercial business decisions taken by the Business, including:

  • Sales/Production planning;
  • Promotional Campaign planning; Pricing planning;
  • Profitability and KPI measurement;
  • monthly variances to budget, highlighting any risks and opportunities;
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and investigations;
  • Provide Commercial input into the Budgeting strategies;
  • Carry out ad-hoc reporting and analysis from statistical and financial information when required.

Ownership of the Period End Actual results and Budget and planning process

  • Ownership for delivering accurate monthly P&L’s for the UK business as well as analysing variances against budget including:
  • Accounting of all gross profit expenditure, taking ownership of the accuracy of the monthly actual, whilst managing the Balance Sheet
  • Coordinate & prepare quarterly budgets & longer term plans.

Drive best practice, efficiencies, change and strategy

  • Play an active role in driving best practice within the finance function
  • Work closely with other members of finance in Europe
  • Act as a consultant providing financial specialist expertise on all system improvements

Qualifications, skills and experience required:

Qualified accountant – CIMA/ACCA/ACA

A technically competent and commercial accountant, with a well-rounded understanding of business in general. Strong communication and negotiation skills, comfortable working with senior business leaders. Able to bridge the finance/non finance gap. Well planned but with an extremely flexible approach, able to respond to changing deadlines and requests. Happy to work as a lone finance specialist within a business as well as within a close knit finance team.

Preferably at least 5 years but ideally more experience in a financial or management accounting role. SAP, Hyperion Planning and advanced Excel skills are highly desirable.
