This is a truly fantastic opportunity. Our client a leading Group based in Kent, (bordering Greater London), with a turnover in excess of £100m and looking to recruit a Group Accountant to join the friendly, but results focused team.
The Group Accountant is very much a business facing finance role. Responsibilities will include; managing a small team of Accountants and Assistant Accountant across both financial and management reporting; build rapport and challenge a range of senior staff; work closely with senior managers to assist in strategic decision making; lead the annual budgets; maintain and improving the groups systems and taking on various projects. You will also; plan and deliver the month end process; provide regular forecasts; take responsibility for the annual production of income and expenditure, co-ordinate the preparation of monthly performance reporting and annual financial statements, whilst liaising with external auditors.
In short, this role covers elements of both financial and management accounting plus the exposure to senior non finance staff where you will be communicating financial information to non-financial people.
The experience gained in this role cannot be overstated. The successful candidate will be an analytical, intelligent, qualified accountant who is able to confidently articulate and understand the wider business. You will have the ability and communication skills to build strong working relationships at all levels across the organisation and particularly with non - finance. This role will suit, those who are currently working in the private sector and looking to make the move into Not for Profit, equally those who have worked in the public sector for a number of years and looking for a change.
