Graduate Trainee Accountant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Accountant to join a hugely successful retailer based in the Liverpool area. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be a key member of the Management Accounts department. Key duties will involve;

• Assist in production of weekly and monthly reporting
  
  
  
• Production of KPIs on business performance
  
  
  
• Retail costings analysis
  
  
  
• Monthly and year end analysis of P&L expenditure
  
  
  
• Maintenance of employee benefits register and annual P11D returns
  
  
  
• National statistics returns
  
  
  
• Ad hoc project work
  
  

The successful candidate will ideally have a finance or equivalent related degree. You will have the ability to prioritise workloads in order to meet the required deadlines and possess the ability to work under your own initiative. It is important that you are computer literate with good excel skills and the ability to pick up new systems very quickly. Good communication skills are also essential in order to liaise with staff at all levels of the Group. This role would suit a graduate looking to make their first step into a career in finance.
