I currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Head of Finance and Operations to join my client based between Exeter and Taunton. This is a varied and hands on position working with a well-established company.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• To prepare the annual budget and re-forecasts for the group trading companies working closely with the budget holders for approval by the Board
• To prepare the annual cash flow forecast for the group
• To prepare annual financial statements for the group companies for presentation to the auditors
• To prepare monthly management accounts
• To create reports and collate the information for the monthly Board meetings.
• To attend Board meetings
• To act as a key member of the management team
• To keep up to date with changes in taxation, financial reporting, regulation
• To be responsible for payroll
• To carry out or supervise the work of the Accounts Supervisor for the preparation of VAT returns and Intrastat
• To work closely with the Production and Warehousing Teams to monitor stock levels and have input to cost minimisation
• To be the main contact for IT infra-structure with IT support providers

In order to be successful you will be a fully qualified accountant with a proven track record within commerce and industry. You will have sound IT skills and have excellent leadership and management skills.
