One of the largest, privately owned global logistics firms with its HQ in state of the art offices in London is seeking a Payments and Cash Manager to report to the Director of Treasury.
About the Role
- Managing a team, you will ensure that cash management, cash forecasting, bank accountant management and all processing of high volume, high value payments are met with accuracy, integrity and efficiency.
- Support the implementation of strategic initiatives focused on improving the efficiency and transparency of cash management and payment processes
- Proactively monitor and report on financial risk exposures and costs in processing payments
- Maintain current working knowledge of the Group’s payment processing infrastructure.
- Accountable for ensuring all payments are processed accurately and in accordance with time critical deadlines, Group policies, supplier terms and regulations
- Efficient management and monitoring of all banking activities.
- Optimise bank account structures to ensure operational efficiency
- Partner with various business units to identify, validate and improve cash forecasting
- Review daily bank balances and calculate amounts to be transferred to / from deposits
- Liaise with various banks to fix deposits, arrange foreign exchange deals and track payments
- Support the development and performance of your team members through the ongoing review of performance and key KPIs
About You
Degree educated you will have a clear business track record and extensive practical experience in managing a high volume and high value payments function within a fast paced, analytical and entrepreneurial environment.
You should have a proven track record, knowledge and experience of best practice cash management processes as well as payment systems and how they can add value to the business.
You will be a results orientated, solid people manager with experience of working with a senior management team to develop business focussed payment strategies that will effectively support business needs.
