Your new company - Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD) is an independent foundation sponsored by the Foreign and Commonwealth (FCO) and the Department for International Development (DFID). WFD specialises in parliamentary strengthening and political party development. It does this by supporting the development of parliaments, political parties and civil society organisations. It is uniquely placed to draw directly on the expertise of the Westminster political parties in all its work.

Your new role - Working as part of WFD's corporate London finance team and reporting to the Head of Finance, the Finance Business Partner position is responsible for supporting effective financial management and reporting for programmes in the Africa, Europe and Central Asia regions. It's expected that the FBP will spend the majority of their time interacting with programme staff both in London and in the field offices to support on budgeting, forecasting and provide regular finance reports to their regions, including monthly management accounts to support the Head of Finance in producing WFD-wide management reporting. They will also play a key role on finance aspects of business development.

What you'll need to succeed - I am looking for a people's person, someone who is inquisitive and excellent at building and developing relationships. You will be a qualified accountant with a proven track record of professional financial business support to operational delivery teams. Experience of working in an international organisation would be helpful but not essential. I am looking for someone who is not afraid to challenge budget holders and is proactive in their approach to tackling problems. The role offers international travel opportunities and the chance to join a growing and developing finance team.
