Accounts Payable Manager

Your new company - Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD) is an independent foundation sponsored by the Foreign and Commonwealth (FCO) and the Department for International Development (DFID). WFD specialises in parliamentary strengthening and political party development. It does this by supporting the development of parliaments, political parties and civil society organisations. It is uniquely placed to draw directly on the expertise of the Westminster political parties in all its work.

Your new role - The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the day to day accounts payable/receivable function, including line management of two Finance Officers. They will ensure that the transactional duties run effectively, including UK and field office payments, staff expenses and cash advances, accounts payable and accounts receivable. You will also have responsibility for managing and maintaining WFD's finance IT systems and procedures (e.g. WFD's accounting software, the finance team intranet 'SharePoint' pages, HSBC banking procedures, etc.).

What you'll need to succeed - I am looking for a people's person, someone who is inquisitive and excellent at building and developing relationships. You will have experience of managing an accounts department (payables, receivables, cash and banking functions) and supporting all users on its financial system application. Strong systems experience would be beneficial and I am looking for someone who loves improving processes. This is a great opportunity to join a close knit but growing finance team.
