Credit Controller / Management Accountant

Overview

We are a growing family owned trade outlet and distribution business within the Reading area, currently expanding its business and it’s looking to enhance its Finance team by recruiting an experienced part time Credit Controller / Management Accountant to aid our continued growth.

Main responsibilities

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the role takes responsibility for the overseeing the day to day Customer account management. Contributing to the Management accounts preparation and Cash Management for the business.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

• Responsible for Credit Control for all customers.
• To complete daily cash till reconciliations and undertaking daily banking.
• Be responsible for the sales ledger, including allocating and reconciliation of customer payments.
• Reconciliation of bank statements and credit card statements
• Providing management accounting support to Finance Manager
• Able to identify opportunities to enhance and develop current processes.
• Attend training and to develop relevant knowledge and skills.

Ideal Candidate

• Must have extensive experience in credit control
• Be able to motivate self and work on their own
• Be sufficiently strong to ensure deadlines are met for this role and others providing information.
• Should enjoy working in team environment
• Able to cross train to support the Purchase ledger Accountant during holidays.
• Be a good problem solver
• Be very competent in using Excel

Remuneration

• 25 hours per week (hours to be agreed), salary of pro-rata £25,000.00 pa full time
• 20 days paid leave pa plus bank holidays, (pro-rata)
• Once passed probationary period, eligible to join the Company bonus scheme
• Long service holiday benefit
