Commercial Management Accountant

My client, a rapidly expanding group of companies within the service sector has grown considerably over the last 15 years.  This growth is set to continue over the next 5 years.  As a result, the group is relocating its Head Office Function from South Yorkshire to West Yorkshire and is keen to enhance its finance team by recruiting a Qualified Management Accountant.  This is an exciting opportunity is available to join an extremely successful market leader in its sector.

Reporting to the Finance Manager you will be responsible for:
•    Management of the junior finance team to ensure all accounting and reporting deadlines are met.
•    Detailed analysis of profitability, balance sheet and cash flows
•    Detailed analysis of revenue and staffing costs.
•    Detailed analysis of key balance sheet metrics such as debts covenants, gearing, ratios, etc.
•    Group cash flow modelling, forecasting and variance analysis.
•    Detailed analysis of new build progress compared to budget including, build costs, pre-opening expenditure and roll-out performance.
•    Working with the broader management team to enhance the reporting function to assist drive better business.

Role will suit a Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA), with experience of a fast paced environment and changing priorities.  You will be able to deliver to tight deadlines with flexibility to achieve.  You will have a keen eye for detail and an approach to always improving ways of working.  As you are managing the relationships with none finance / operational staff, so you must be an effective communicator and negotiator at all levels across the business.  You will have a pro-active approach and exceptional IT skills.
