Financial Controller

The Role

Robert Half Finance & Accountancy are pleased to be exclusively partnering with our client, a high growth US Business, based in St Albans, on the recruitment of an exciting EMEA Controller position. The EMEA Controller will manage a finance team of 4 staff and co-ordinate with finance and non-finance stakeholders across a number of countries and will report to the CFO based in the US. The Controller will manage all of the accounting across the EMEA region, experience of international VAT, US GAAP and some language skills would be a distinct advantage. The Controller will be responsible for:

Manage and oversee internal and external accounting personnel in multiple locations

Oversee accurate and timely month-end closing, financial reporting, departmental expense analysis and other statutory compliance matters

Work collaboratively to support the Treasury and FP&A function.

Coordinate with the CFO, Operations, Treasury and US accounting on review of operations, cash position, foreign currency transactions, credit & collection and supplier management

Oversee consolidation of international companies as needed for reports and presentations

Develop collaboratively the annual budget

Develop and analyse ad-hoc reports and financial analysis

Evaluate and make appropriate improvements to internal accounting processes, ensuring practices are in line with overall goals of organization as well as in compliance with accounting rules

Maintain internal control system and transaction integrity

Monitor, update and ensure compliance of inter-company agreements, contracts, corporate compliance, transfer pricing rules, etc.

Manage financial audits and tax audits within the organization with off-site accounting personnel

Your Profile

We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller who has at least 5 years Controller experience; managing AP, AR and Credit Control and overseeing all controls, processes and procedures across several countries. The ideal candidate will have experience of US GAAP and be bilingual - in addition to English, French, Italian or Spanish would be an advantage.

Salary & Package

A highly competitive salary of circa £70,000 - £80,000 and excellent package is on offer.
