Badenoch & Clark are currently working with a global organisation who are looking to bring a Financial Controller into the team. Responsible for the efforts and results of the financial and commercial accounting department. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in regards to all financial and accounting activities. Overseeing financial department employees in day-to-day operations.

*Oversee all company accounts
*Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts
*Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports
*Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation
*Develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports
*Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities
*Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies
*Create systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations
*Working Capital Management
*Balance Sheet
*Financial and technical accounting
*Treasury and cashflow
*Monthly, half yearly and annual reporting:
oStatutory
oManagement Reporting
*Responsible for control, compliance and governance by ensuring processes are in place to protect assets of the business
*Guarantee the reliability and the relevance of all accounting records and statements in both UK GAAP and IFRS
*Prepare and consolidate weekly and periodic cash forecast together with operations
*Ensure commercial rigour and processes in place to support and challenge the P&L owners
*Manage year end audit process
*Direct management of senior financial accounting managers who lead the accounts payables, receivables, fixed asset and general ledgers teams to optimise the financial transactional processes
*Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations
*Ensure internal controls are compliant and adequate with company policies and rules
*Develop strong accounting processes to ensure reliability of monthly reporting
*Establish financial discipline and controls to safeguard the company assets and to ensure the financial integrity of reported results
*Promote best practice across accounting team in people and financial processes, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
*Ensure smooth and effective transactional finance processes
*Guarantee timely and accurate closing
*Support operations on all accounting matters
*Provide support and financial analysis of Merger and Acquisition projects
*Set clear and measurable objectives for the team
*Conduct regular performance reviews and manage employee relations issues as required
*Promote and champion a professional and internal/external customer focused approach
*Provide active guidance, support and coaching to the team resulting in highly motivated, engaged staff who consistently provide excellent service levels
