Imperial College are recruiting a Finance Analyst for their corporate centre in South Kensington. With revenue in 2016 of c. £970m, they have been independently recognised as being one of Europe’s top 5 and the world’s top 10 universities. The College is expanding via their world class White City campus and they have recently launched several revenue generative ventures.
The Finance Analyst will support various property-focused revenue generative ventures and will report to the Corporate Financial Controller. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make your mark and influence how the finances of this growing area will be managed and reported. The post-holder’s main responsibilities will be:
· Provide wide-ranging financial support to the College’s two established commercial property portfolios (GradPad & Endowment’s property portfolio).
· Play a lead role in establishing a new commercial property business; providing key worker accommodation to academic staff.
· Develop, prepare & present management accounts / analysis for the above.
· Design and implement a suite of KPIs to aid management decision making.
· Prepare property portfolio budgets and financial & capital plans.
· Provide analysis on property valuations and yields to aid decision making.
· Participate in the operational day-to-day running of the property portfolios.
· Other ad hoc responsibilities to support the wider finance function.
The ideal Finance Analyst will be a qualified accountant (ACA / CIMA / ACCA) who is equally comfortable in investigating and reporting variances to budget as they are in preparing a cash flow statement. Big company experience (either from industry or a Top 10 practice) would be a distinct advantage, whilst exposure to assessing property performance and managing revaluations would be an added bonus.
Excellent academic qualifications, strong communication skills, an analytical approach and rounded stakeholder management skills are all a given. This role will suit a rounded & intelligent individual who is looking to test themselves and who wishes to build a long & successful career thanks to the clear opportunities for progression.
Salary: £44510 - £46970 + 18% pension + 30 days holiday + benefits
