Your new role
Working closely with the FD and the rest of the Finance team. Day-to-day corporate accounting. Financial reporting activities. Driving initiatives to enhance accounting & reporting systems, processes & controls. Multiple currency transactions.

* Manage the month-end/quarter-end/year-end close activities. Review journal entries, account reconciliations, roll-forwards, P&L and balance sheet flux and variance analysis, etc.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements to accelerate close, reporting timelines, and automate manual procedures and computations.
* Lead accounts payable and assist in general ledger and accounting operations.
* Review and approve general ledger account reconciliations.
* Evaluate the accounting or financial reporting impact of operational decisions.
* Design, implement and maintain effective policies and procedures and controls.
* Execute the month end financial close process (recording items in accordance with US GAAP accurately and timely).
* Analyse the accounting and financial reporting operations and drive decision making.
* Operate and continue to build robust and scalable processes.
* Facilitate and support external financial audits

What you'll need to succeed
You should be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) who is looking for a part-time job. My client can be flexible on how the hours are spread out over a week. You will need to make a significant impact on the business in the time that you are in the office. You will be personable, professional & hard-working.
