FTSE 100 British Retailer is looking to hire a high calibre Finance Analyst.

In this newly created role, you will be supporting the senior leadership team, driving insight and visibility into sales and profit through controlled planning, forecasting and analysis.


Key Responsibilities:

Weekly & Quarterly Trading:

  • Accountable for supporting, interpreting and analysing the weekly trading information to enable understanding of business performance
  • Producing key reports and trading analysis for senior finance and commercial stakeholders
  • Review reporting as produced by the finance shared service centre to ensure data integrity

Planning & Forecasting:

  • Accountable for supporting the quarterly planning and forecasting process of total sales to gross profit - owning the relevant models
  • Responsible for identifying risks and opportunities in the plan
  • Deliver forecast and budget outputs including packs for Directors and submissions to Group Finance
  • Supporting the strategic 3 Year planning process
  • Deliver the 10 year network plan
  • Ensuring strong financial control across the trading, planning and forecasting processes

Insight, Analysis & Projects:

  • Specific adhoc analysis for the Directors and business stakeholders to support decision making
  • Review opportunities to streamline reporting and drive efficiencies across trading, planning and reporting processes

Stakeholder Management:

  • Coordinating with BU analysts, Channels, Logistics and Group Finance to align Budget, forecast and reporting deliverables
  • Close stakeholder relationship with selling channel teams to ensure consistency on financials
  • Building relationships with key commercial stakeholders including availability, allocation & stock management teams - challenging whilst supporting / providing insight

What we're looking for:

* Fully qualified ACA/CIMA or equivalent with flawless academic background
* Proven commercial finance experience
* Ability to influence and persuade
* Stakeholder management
* Strong Excel
