Finance Manager

My client, an international retailer, is looking to recruit a Finance Manager to provide maternity cover for around 5 months.

The key focus of this role is to partner with operational stakeholders and manage a small team to operate the finance function, preparation and presentation of annual budgets and long term forecasts; oversight of centre accounting including all relevant month end and period end procedures.

We’re looking for someone with…

-Strong evidence of partnering operational stakeholders - i.e. face-to-face partnering in a non-head office environment

-ACA/ACCA/CIMA accounting qualification

-Strong commercial experience gained with a proven track record of establishing policies and procedures, providing impetus and direction to financial reporting

-Competent technical and systems skills including Excel and other accounting packages

-People management experience

In this role, you will…

-Oversee all financial functions and control procedures necessary, incorporating established company policies and procedures

-Prepare and present annual Budgets and 6 monthly Long Term Forecasts (LTFs) with the Retail Management team

-Oversight of month end review and reconciliation procedures, including tracking against budgets and producing forecast and stretch updates, CSA sign-off and VAT returns

-Prepare and gain approval for the annual Service Charge Budget and Reconciliation Packs, and distribute to tenants with appropriate communication and in a timely manner

-Provide clear guidance and management to all direct reports ensuring business and personal objectives are set and achieved, with a focus on delivering key cultural values

-Liaise with tenants in relation to requests for financial assistance or payment plans, and other finance matters as required

-Assist the General Managers with obtaining internal and Joint Venture consent for tenant assistance, payment plans, capital projects and other items as required
