Mercy Corps is a leading global organization powered by the belief that a better world is possible. In disaster, in hardship, in more than 40 countries around the world, we partner to put bold solutions into action — helping people triumph over adversity and build stronger communities from within. Now, and for the future.

The Finance Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Manager is a new position within the agency, created as a result of the significant growth of Mercy Corps in Europe. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious FP&A professional to contribute significantly to building the finance function that will support our further development, internal controls and expansion.

The FP&A Manager will provide the valuable contribution of forward-looking management of financial planning – forecasting, budgeting and highlighting performance issues where escalation is required to the MCE Senior Leadership team. Reporting to our Director of Finance, who has recently joined MCE, s/he will work closely with the finance department, which includes the Financial Controller, and with the international finance teams, who manage all the financial stages of MCE grant management, from proposal development and initial budgeting, to compliance and final reporting.

The successful candidate will be proactive, thoughtful and inquisitive, someone who is able to get deep into data but also have a clear vision of, and a passion for, the bigger end goal. Ideally, s/he will be used to working in an international environment and dealing with high value contracts. The ability to build excellent relationships across the organisation will be key to success in the role. Strong skills of data extraction and manipulation and exemplary Excel skills are also a necessity.

Please note, candidates must have the right to work in the UK at the time of application. Please follow the link to apply to find the full job description on our careers site.
