Financial Accountant

Elevation Accountancy & Finance currently have a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic, recently qualified Financial Accountant for a successful service business in Derbyshire.

This will be a varied position, reporting into the Financial Controller and working as part of a small but friendly accounts team.

Duties & Responsibilities will include:

· Preparation of weekly commercial reports
· Cashbook preparation, posting and bank reconciliation
· Invoicing and reconciliation
· Management of cash counting, recording and posting process
· Revenue collection cycle
· Overseeing purchase ledger process and provide cover as required
· Preparation of stock valuation and review
· Preparation and posting of prepayments and accruals
· Balancing of control accounts and trial balance review
· Providing cover for weekly payroll as required
· Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate monthly reporting, budget and forecasting

To be considered for this role you MUST have the following:

- ACCA/ CIMA or ACA Qualified
- Experience of accounting software packages
- Strong Excel skills
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Able to identify important/urgent tasks and prioritise work in a consistent, organised and logical manner
