What we're looking for:

+ CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified + 6 years PQE
+ Ideally worked in an Audit, Commercial, HQ and Operations accounting role
+ Management experience
+ Worked for a c£100million+ turnover company
+ Big Four experience would be advantageous but not essential

What are we looking for?

We are looking for organised but friendly individual who can work well as part of a team and under your own initiative. You must be a qualified accountant who demonstrates ownership of the tasks and objectives of the department. Are you able to prioritise, manage expectations and work to tight deadlines whilst being a fast learner? If so, this role may be suited to you.

A small overview for responsibilities and skills.

The role will entail reporting of financial performance, oversight of the UK control environment and supporting ad hoc financial projects. With IFRS experience and a minimum of 4 years PQE, excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret data is essential.

Whilst management experience is not essential, you should ensure a high level of engagement and to be comfortable with leading and delegating to a team of four people. You should take ownership of BPC Platform for reporting monthly financials to Group as well as transferring knowledge from the current BPC platform owner. Reviewing of month balance sheet reconciliation process in the UK and taking control over VAT treatment on UK sales invoices, including record keeping and responding to customer queries will be within your weekly responsibilities.

You will also be required to manage both SFS UK control environment both at a head office and station level, internal and external auditors. Accurate and timely reporting of month end UK numbers and taking control over month end reporting timetable for EMEA bases and Month end cash flow analysis is an essential part of this role.

Location and the team.

The job is based near London Luton Airport. You will be working within a friendly Finance team of 8 people in an office environment.
