Key Responsibilities:

Managing casual and temporary workers and freelancers during the payroll lifecycle under the leadership of the Payroll Manager and alongside the HR Services Payroll team, this includes:

  • Liaising with HR Advisors and Event Administrators and Production Managers to gather personal data, a mixture of timesheets, spreadsheets and individual freelancer invoices;
  • Payroll entry and checks, to ensure accuracy;
  • Overseeing data entry after variable updates on the ADP Freedom payroll system;
  • Reviewing pre-commit reports from ADP for tax codes, tax and NI deduction details;
  • Liaising with Accounts and answering queries where necessary;
  • Responding to employee and line manager queries and escalating when necessary;
  • Assisting with post payroll filing;
  • Assisting with the transition of data to the vendor management system (Fieldglass);
  • Any other ad-hoc projects
  • Meeting monthly deadlines for payroll processing;
  • Minimising employee queries following payroll runs;

 

Key Skills:

  • Extensive payroll experience, especially processing timesheets & holiday pay calculations
  • Experience of using ADPFreedom or a similar payroll system
  • Good understanding of HMRC's guidelines;
  • Experience of database management;
  • Payroll and HR databases administration
  • Advanced level of Excel experience (e.g. formulas and VLOOKUPS)
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Numerate;
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to work to tight deadlines and under pressure whilst maintaining appropriate service levels;
  • Strong team player - work closely with the business and wider HR Team;
  • Proactive and able to prioritise own workload;

Desirable

  • Experience of high volume data
  • Experience of processing payroll from variety of data sources
  • Knowledge of PAYE vs self-employed
