An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Reporting Analyst to join a highly regarded organisation in Ipswich in a key role responsible for producing reporting packs and Board reports in an accurate and timely manner, as well as supporting the planning process which involves working with complex financial information.
The main responsibilities will include the following:
• Reporting: Prepare the monthly Leadership Pack and Analysis working closely with both the FP&A and Expenses teams to collate and understand the result. Draft the quarterly board report for the CFO ensuring accuracy of numbers and that the latest developments are included.
• Financial Analysis: Understand the full P&L result as well as the structure of the business and the commercial challenges faced to enable the production of proactive analysis and timely completion of clear and concise commentary.
• Flexibility: Able to adapt oral and written communication to the needs of a variety of stakeholders from peers to senior management and also willing to work flexibly during busier periods to meet challenging deadlines.
• Planning: Develop knowledge of IT system and be able to run forecast consolidations as well as assisting in the update of the planning model as required.
• Technical Reporting: Working knowledge of balance sheets, cash flows and solvency reporting to assist with a variety of deliverables within the team.
• Financial Risks and Controls: Ensure that existing controls over processes are fully adhered to and suggest improvements with the ultimate objective of ensuring that there are no surprises in the reported result.
The position would suit a qualified, part-qualified or QBE accountant ideally with relevant industry experience, strong analytical and excellent IT skills. You will demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure, and be adept at working with Directors to develop the finance function and implement strategy. You bring enthusiasm and energy to the role and be an excellent communicator.
