fdu is recruiting a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for one of the fastest and dynamic growth technology business, a leading Machine to Machine (M2M) connectivity and advanced network infrastructure provider for the Internet of Things (IOT).Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Board, our Client is looking for an individual with experience gained from the software, telecommunications, or cloud based services space, who can truly business partner with the CEO. Alongside the controls element, you must possess the drive, ambition and commerciality to act as a strategic business partner to the CEO to drive growth in the business and get the business ready for a transaction.
With a current turnover of £8m they are looking to drive revenues of circa £70m by 2020 and gain traction in multiple countries around the globe. The CFO will need to possess the desire and also the mentality to drive the business towards achieving the ambitious growth targets set by the Board. As the business grows to multiple locations, there will be a need to cope with increased complexities and decentralisation.
Candidate profile:
- A qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) Finance Leader (CFO, FD).
- Relevant industry sector experience i.e. software, telecommunications, cloud based services, IT services (customer service, volume driven, technology lending itself to volume billing and service would be of value).
- Experience working in a growth business environment; large and small company experience, bringing best financial practice, and the knowledge of how to operate and behave in a growth company.
- Ideally Venture Capital / Private Equity backed company experience, along with exit and M&A capability.
- The ability to operate both at a strategic level, as well as in the detail.
- Strong presentation, interpersonal and communication skills are essential as is the ability to operate with a high degree of credibility.
- Able to partner with a CEO, CTO and COO in a similar environment, helping them to make the right commercial decisions based on sound business advice and financial information.
