My client is looking for Banking and traded markets internal auditor with broad product experience. Must be able to demonstrate strong aptitudes for the following tasks:
*Undertaking internal audits following latest audit methodology including
*Planning audits - defining and assessing risks; identifying expected and actual control processes; and, developing, executing and documenting tests of control design
*Carrying out fieldwork testing - developing and performing methodical control effectiveness tests using generally accepted sampling and assessment techniques
*Reporting - producing concise and readable audit reports and supporting documents
*Liaison with business stakeholders at all levels of the organisation - producing relevant and concise meeting agendas, directing stakeholder interviews, and communicating complex information.
*Risk and control assessment of front and back office functions including sales and trading desks, desk oversight and management, middle office/desk support, product control (including valuation, Profit & Loss production and analysis, trade and transaction reporting
Requires demonstrable experience across a range of asset classes and traded products with particular depth of expertise in:
*Fixed income - linear and non-linear interest rate products (OTC and exchange traded), bonds, hybrids, deposits, collateralised instruments, repos, prime finance and delta-one trading, etc.
*Currency and commodities - flow and structured FX including algorithmic/automated trading desks, metals trading desks, physical/energy/financial commodities
*A good working knowledge of the following functions is also necessary:
*trading risk management and governance (comprehensive market and credit risk skills are not required)
*current regulatory and compliance requirements for market trading businesses
*second-line of defense monitoring functions
*basic financial reporting requirements
*basic trade processing application controls including user access
*Experience with internal audit assessment of equities businesses and/or private-side/origination businesses would be an advantage.
