Finance Manager (FTSE 100) 6 Month FTC

Our client, a FTSE 100 employer of choice and dynamic consumer lead brand, with a reputation for quality, is looking to source a top calibre Finance Manager to join its team on an initial interim basis. The role will be fixed for 6 months, but given the scale and nature of the business, there will be every opportunity to secure a long-term future, should you show to add value and fit well with company culture.

The focus of the role is to ensure complete management and statutory accounting for this specific division; this includes P&Ls, balance sheet, cash flow and the overarching control framework. You will manage a small team of qualified and part-qualified accountants, ensuring their standard of work is consistent and they stay motivated and challenged.

Main duties include:
* Responsibility for financial reporting across brands with c£500m turnover
* Ensuring all management/statutory accounting is completed by the team on time and to a high standard, with proactive insight into key variances
* Liaising closely with FP&A teams to understand what was budgeted/forecasted in relevant P&L lines
* Building relationships with Regional and General Managers of sites
* Streamlining month end schedule
* Acting as finance lead on all key division initiatives
* Communicating risks and opportunities to the business, as well as brand performance with causal analysis
* Explanations of variances from budget/forecasts
* Controlling monthly balance sheet reconciliations process

Key skills & experience required:
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified
* Well rounded accounting experience gleaned in a large company environment or top 10 practice
* Proven team management & strong leadership skills
* Confident, credible character, able to build relationships at all levels
* Self-starter, demonstrates a positive attitude to work and strives to perform at the highest level
* Technically strong, with a clear understanding for commercial business drivers
