Management Accountant

Unrivaled opportunity for a newly qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA Accountant to join a rapidly growing and very profitable business as the number 2 to the Finance Director.

The business is PE backed and has significant plans to grow both organically & via acquisition so the successful applicant will gain exposure to Private Equity as well as Acquisitions. This is a newly created role to directly support the Finance Director so you will gain a great deal of exposure within the company and have a platform to make a name for yourself. You will also benefit from their guidance and mentoring with more duties and projects being passed down as you develop in the role.

• Taking a hands on approach with the Management Accounts and production of monthly reporting packs
• Production of Accurate financial, management and statutory accounts
• Support the FD in Developing MI/KPI's to highlight "real time" business performance and support proactive decision making capability.
• Development of robust systems to ensure high quality reporting to the Board and PE backers.
• Operate as "Finance business partner" to operational business units
• Assisting with the production of the annual budgets & forecasts
• Monthly analysis with variances to budget
• Assist the FD with pulling together commercial analysis such as competitor analysis

The Finance Director is looking for an ambitious newly qualified accountant to support him with the daily accounts detail and financial control elements and allow him to focus on how the finance department can help push growth and successfully implement the strategies chosen. As you develop in the role your remit will also grow as the FD passes more duties down.

The successful applicant will;

• Have strong Excel skills with the ability to manipulate data
• Happy to do the detail across various areas i.e. support the FD with Commercial Analysis and insight
• Manage the production of the monthly management accounts / balance reconciliations - proactive enough to search out answers and bring issues to your awareness
• Review financial control processes and work with you to implement improvements where necessary
• Take on financial reporting - awareness of current financial standards would be a benefit
• Able to deal confidently with heads of departments, (e.g. sales, business partnerships) to help provide commercial insight and add value to decision making
