Robertson Bell Finance are currently recruiting for an Interim Finance Business Partner - Estates. Our client is a renowned, high profile government organisation who are looking for a Finance Business Partner to join the team on a two year fixed term contract, supporting major projects within the estates directorate.

Reporting into the Head of Finance for the Estates directorate, this position forms a pivotal finance role to support the strategic finance team. The directorate has approximately 200 different projects that they are responsible for, consisting of maintenance, refurbishment and the construction of new buildings that range from as little2 as £5000 to £multimillion projects. This role will Business Partner to all projects that fall within the Estates remit however much of the focus over the next 24months is to deliver on two major restoration and renovation projects that are due to commence shortly.

Key responsibilities will include;

*Oversight of the financial management team for the directorate; consisting of 2 P/Q Management Accountants and an Assistant Accountant
*Deliver accurate, effective and robust financial reporting, planning and budgeting for the estates directorate.
*Providing financial and business advice to the senior managers, project leads, programme managers and other non-finance professionals within the directorate.
*Interpretation of internal and external sourced data and information to make key decisions based on your experience and judgement.
*Contribute to the medium/long term financial and investment plans for the projects and programmes income and expenditure
*Assist with month end related duties should the need arise - this would normally be a few days per month.
*To deputise for the Head of Finance when necessary, this would include attending board meetings, reviewing business cases and supporting directors in continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant with business partnering experience and a proven track record of stakeholder management across all levels and backgrounds with the ability to adapt your approach to suit different situations. It is essential that you have experience of working within an estates function with a credible sized portfolio. You will be personable with excellent communication skills that has the ability to build rapport with budget holders in a warm engaging but often challenging manor.
