Management Accountant

My client, a leading Oldham based Manufacturer are seeking a highly analytical Management Accountant to come on board and transform the the companies reporting, to develop and improve the way the company uses their ERP (Dynamics Nav) and Business Systems. This role would be perfect for a technically strong, commercial accountant with very strong IT and Systems knowledge, who can partner effectively across the business.

This role requires the ability to work at transactional level with strong attention to detail as well as a good understanding of the underlying accounting principles that drives systems and processes.

On top of this, there will be regular contact with the wider business (Sales, Production, Commercial) in terms of gathering information to support accounting adjustments so the ability to communicate with colleagues outside of finance is pivotal.

Key Responsibilities:

• Production of monthly accounts
• Production of year-end audit file & management of external audit
• Maintain balance sheet schedules
• Monitoring of cash flow / Production of cash flow reports as required
• Maintenance of general ledger
• Production of VAT returns / EC Sales & Intrastat submissions
• Management of Purchase & Sales ledger
• Weekly KPI reporting
• Production of reports and analysis on areas affecting the business

Person Specification

• You will ideally be a qualified accountant ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Excellent data manipulation skills having dealt with large data sets
• A process improvement mind-set
• Ideally possess experience working within large organisations
• Solid technical accounting knowledge with good attention to detail
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders
• Candidates must have extensive ERP experience (Ideally Navision)
• Advanced Excel required
