Reed Finance have been retained by a thriving business in the Cambridge area to recruit a qualified Financial Accountant.

The business provides solutions to their client' needs and drawing on decades of experience are gaining new contracts at an astounding rate and are now recognised as a leader in their field.

In reaction to their tremendous success and subsequent growth we are working with the Finance Director to recruit a new Financial Accountant.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, responsibilities will include, but not limited to -

- Preparation of all Group legal entity statutory accounts (including consolidation process) under FRS 102
- Management of month and year-end process, preparation of audit schedules and
- Preparation of quarterly financial reporting information to the shareholders under UK GAAP
- Reconciliation of key control accounts including Loan book, funding book, VAT, PAYE and inter-company balance.
- Timetable planning with auditors
- Preparation of technical accounting memorandums where necessary
- Prepare and file all corporation tax requirements within statutory deadlines
- Tagging of statutory accounts
- Provide support in tax planning exercises (including transfer pricing)

- Qualified ACA, ACCA or equivalent, likely practice trained however this is not essential
- Post qualification financial reporting experience
- Hands-on awareness of current technical accounting and reporting requirements under both IFRS and UK GAAP.
- Practical understanding of UK tax environment
- A proven track record of over-performance, owning issues to conclusion and delivering high quality output
