Accounts Assistant

Castle Accountancy & Finance are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to work for a very successful property and leisure business based in Beverley, East Yorkshire.

This role will suit a well organised and self-motivated Accounts Assistant who is looking to build on and enhance their existing finance experience. Duties will include;

• Processing bank payments and transfers
• Performing balance sheet reconciliations
• Processing rental income payments
• Liaising with key stakeholders across the business to support improvement of processes
• Complete the monthly accrual and prepayment schedule
• Oversee and close off the Sales ledger, Nominal ledger & Purchase ledger
• Assist with the monthly management reporting
• Produce and submit the VAT returns
• Weekly banking
• Ad hoc finance administration

The successful candidate for the Accounts Assistant role will:

• Have previous experience in a similar role
• Possess a high degree of computer literacy - including MS Excel to an intermediate level
• Have excellent communication skills with the ability to work across all levels
• AAT qualification or above would be an advantage
