£41,000 - £46,000 per annum

A member of a team of finance specialists you will work closely with the leadership and operations teams within Peoples Services to form a comprehensive and robust understanding of the financial position. You will be an integral part of the service, offering trusted and valued support and guidance on financial matters. Actively supporting the service’s strategic planning activities offering advice and guidance and ensuring financial thinking is joined up with other parts of the Council.

You will ensure that a robust and efficient budget setting and budget monitoring process is in place with an emphasis on improving forecast accuracy and the effective mitigation / maximisation of all financial risks. In a cost conscious organisation you will ensure that value for money is obtained and that the service complies with all financial standards and regulations. You will develop and maintain good working relationships with key stakeholders including finance colleagues, senior officers and elected members.
