Group Accountant

The role

This is a newly created role which reports directly to the Group Financial Controller of a newly formed group function. This role offers encompasses financial reporting and the production of management accounts with corresponding analysis, giving the successful candidate exposure to both technical and commercial accounting. As this position is brand new, you will have autonomy to put in place new controls and procedures to improve the level reporting across the business.

Key duties & responsibilities

• Preparation, review, interpretation and development of the Group Management Accounts; monthly Board Pack; and annual budget reporting
• Responsible for the month end group consolidation
• Provide financial reports, analysis and commentaries on P&L; Balance Sheet; Cashflow; Working Capital
• Group level analytics and balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparation of Annual Group Consolidated Accounts in accordance with IFRS
• Co-ordination of preparation of UK subsidiary accounts in accordance with FRS 101
• Leading role in implementation of new consolidation software - including implementation set-up, report design, testing, data migration, training of users, and documentation of processes
• Internal audit support, including conducting on site assignments
• Assistance in integration of acquisitions
