Senior Business Process Champion – SAP Finance & Costing

Herefordshire with International Travel

Our Client:

Working in partnership with Seymour John, our client is a £600m+ manufacturing business operating across the UK and Ireland, Europe, Australia, Middle East and the USA.   Growing rapidly via acquisition and organically, they have developed an enviable market leading position in many territories offering a premium range of products.  As the business grows, SAP needs to be rolled out into new members of the group and new territories.

The Opportunity:

The Senior Business Process Champion (BPC) manages and drives through continuous improvement and cross departmental collaboration to achieve strategic business goals. This role has Divisional impact, and involves a variety of responsibilities in multi-functional areas, with enormous opportunities for personal growth and flexibility within the Division.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Mentoring and evolving the Junior BPC’s, and evolving the business’s Centre of Excellence.
  • Approval, documentation and ownership of existing and new business processes in conjunction with the Junior BPC’s.
  • Drive through and recommend continuous improvement.
  • Act as a communication channel and foster departmental collaboration. 
  • Prioritising business process issues in your area across the Division.
  • Working with, and understanding of, cross-functional areas to agree process change.
  • Empowered to make decisions on behalf of the company.
  • Providing advice and assistance on business processes and best practise to users.
  • Aligning business processes in Acquisitions prior to IT implementation.
  • Ensure users are suitably trained in existing or new processes and systems.
  • Work closely with the Divisional System Development Manager to plan, schedule and monitor own work to meet business needs whilst assisting in delivery of the IT Strategic Roadmap.
  • Perform testing and sign off any new software change that is applicable in your functional area.
  • Assist on any development projects or areas of system change or process change across the Division.
  • Expertise, ownership and improvement of Master Data that is applicable to your own functional area.
  • Auditing Business Processes within your own functional area within the Kingspan Global environment.

You:

  • Strong exposure to accounting and perhaps possessing a formal accounting qualification.
  • Previous experience leading or managing aspects of an ERP implementation process – ideally SAP.
  • A natural problem solver who enjoys improving systems and processes.
