An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious finance professional to join a fast growing, dynamic private equity backed group of businesses. The candidate will be an ambitious, results orientated, hands on professional capable of working autonomously as well as managing a small team.
The role offers great career development as it will expose the candidate to an extremely broad range of activities ranging from billing and credit control to preparing group VAT returns and dealing with share option scheme reporting.
You will take on the senior position in a small department, reporting to a part time finance director and working closely with members of the management team across the business.
Responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts, including variance against budget
- Overseeing and where necessary doing all transactional aspects of the group's accounting transactions.
- Billing and credit control
- Management of payrolls across the businesses (including dealing with pensions (both existing and future staging dates)- using outsourced payroll provider
- Cashflow forecasting and cash management
- Preparation of month end reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts
- Preparation of Group VAT returns
- Management of other members of the team to ensure the finance department runs efficiently and effectively integrates with the business.
- Dealing with external accountants for preparation of annual stat accounts and tax computations
