Senior Finance Manager, Forecasting & Reporting, UK Snacks

The role

PepsiCo are looking for an exceptional finance professional to join our UK Snacks Finance leadership team. This is a highly commercial role, with responsibility for forecasting and reporting of the UK Snacks business, with responsibility for building the annual plan and quarterly forecasts, plus analysis and reporting of top line performance on a weekly and periodic basis.

The role manages a team of finance analysts and innovation finance managers, and reports directly to the Snacks Finance Lead. It involves frequent interaction with members of the UK Executive, in particular the Snacks Commercial Lead, and the senior UK sales team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead P&L build (Volume down to Marginal Contribution) to achieve KPIs as determined annually, which incorporate latest dealing guidelines, base forecasts, marketing calendar assumptions and competitive challenges.
  • Plays an integral role in co-ordinating the new iS & OP (Integrated Sales and Operating Plan) long-term forecasting process
  • Ensure these plans meet customer objectives in addition to being sufficiently focussed, stretching and realistic whilst meeting P&L objectives.
  • Partner with Snacks Finance Lead, Snacks Commercial Lead and Sales team throughout the year to ensure the achievement of KPIs
  • Lead the finance support for Snacks innovation projects, partnering with the Commercialisation teams and providing clear recommendations on new product development
  • Partner with Snacks Finance Lead to lead team agenda, prioritise and deputise when absent
  • Manage and develop a team of finance professionals.
  • Ensure that tough prioritisation calls are made as required to ensure team workload is achievable whilst meeting business needs, continually striving for simpler, more efficient ways of working.
  • Performance management, including daily, weekly and periodic performance reviews, and clear visibility of future performance and trade-offs.
  • Continuous improvement of the accuracy of future forecasts
  • Develop the business cases for all new product launches and major marketing activations.

What we are looking for

  • Highly ambitious individual with talent and drive to progress through to senior CFO roles in PepsiCo
  • Sound knowledge and experience of large, matrixed organisation
  • Strong preference for previous FMCG experience
  • Ability to formulate own opinions on emerging trends and commercial issues, and communicate these in compelling way in order to build support, taking tough stances where necessary
  • Ability to authoritatively and constructively challenge and push back cross-functionally
  • Sound project management (lead core planning processes) and strong analytical skills
  • Interest and awareness of key Customer Profitability IT systems and ability to drive improvements in these systems through the business
  • Excellent presentation skills (ability to present in a clear and succinct manner to senior audiences)
  • Proven ability to communicate and influence cross BU/functionally at all levels
  • Demonstrated sound leadership and people management/motivational skills
  • Ability to manage a broad and frequently changing agenda with strong prioritisation skills
  • Self starter who thrives on the challenge of working with a large and diverse customer group
  • Degree educated AND/OR fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACMA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Significant experience in Business Partnering and FP&A
