A Global Manufacturing and Service Business is currently recruiting an opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant to join their Sheffield based head office finance function in a varied and exciting role.

Based within easy commutable distance from Wakefield, Rotherham and Barnsley, this employer of choice have experienced unprecedented growth and are looking to bring in an ambitious and versatile Part Qualified or Newly Qualified role which will combine technical accounting with commercially centred analysis and reporting.
You will take support the FC for a key division for the business. This role is suitable for someone who is both proactive and a strong communicator and you will have full responsibility for all financial controls and business unit management. You will provide financial and non-financial reporting and analysis to the organisation and provide integral support in the production of Management Accounts and budgeting and forecasting.

Key duties will include:
*Develop a complete knowledge and understanding of the Company reporting systems i.e. SAP and TM1 and assist in their preparation on a monthly basis.
*Maintaining and reviewing accounting records to ensure accurate information is reported both internally and externally.
*Take an active role in the month end close process to include cost centre checking and correction, variance analysis, prepayments and accruals and other duties to ensure ledgers are correct and balance.
*Provide a proactive review of existing accounting practices and methodology within our production and service businesses, to ensure that:
-A strong level of control and transparency is maintained on trading performance, production efficiency and expenditure.
-Our accounting processes are sustainable as our production/services businesses continue to grow
*Preparation and provision of monthly and quarterly financial and management reports to internal, external and group parties.
*Provide support to the Divisional Financial Controllers as required.
*Preparation and presentation of divisional and central function budgets and forecasts in conjunction with Business Managers ensuring accuracy, reliability and valid assumptions.
*Report on overhead spends and develop systems to track and control overheads, as well as assisting in identifying and securing cost efficiencies.
*Develop a detailed understanding of our customer rebate processes, taking responsibility for review of claims, and ensuring adequate provisions are maintained.
*To ensure reports from customers relating to product quality complaints or adverse drug reactions are documented and the essential minimum information is collected and forwarded to the Regulatory Affairs Department the same day they are received.
*To develop strong working relationships across the organisation, and to act in a professional manner at all times in order to promote a positive image of the Company.
