Assistant Accountant

Your new company
Hays are currently recruiting for a large international manufacturing business in Norfolk. This company are looking for someone who is available on short notice or immediately to join a growing team initially as a temporary member of staff but with a view to becoming a permanent employee.

Your new role
The main purpose of this role is to support a busy Finance team in the day to day operations of a busy manufacturing site. Specifically you will be responsible for:
Supporting the daily and monthly management accounting process
Preparing and posting journals
Running reports on Excel on pre-set KPI's
Initially updated and calculating costs of labour and manufacturing components
Processing invoices onto the purchase ledger and producing GRN's
Analysing large volumes of financial data and reporting to senior members of the team.

This is a full time job working Monday to Friday 9-5.30.


What you'll need to succeed
Ideally you will need to be studying the early stages of ACCA or CIMA or be nearly AAT qualified. Alternatively significant experience in a similar capacity working within manufacturing or FMCG businesses would be desired. You will have knowledge of product costing and a positive attitude towards self-development. You will need to be immediately available or on short notice to start and will need access to a vehicle due to the remote location of the company. You will also need to have strong Excel skills.
